Obituary of Joan Gray Oliver

Mary Joan Gray Oliver, 67, of Florence, passed away October 26, 2024, at Keller Hospital, after an extended illness. She was a native of Lauderdale County and a member of Lone Cedar Church of Christ. Joan had a 49-year career in the medical field, working in hospitals starting after high school. She began at Colonial Manor, then on to Shoals for several years before finally moving to Baptist Hospital in Pensacola, FL for the past 18 years as the Senior Supply Chain Operations Analyst. Joan loved her work and her work family, and they loved her. Survivors include: Husband of almost 50 years: Troy Don Oliver Brother: Harold Gray (Ann) Nephews: Barry Gray (Karla), Mike Jones Niece: Stacy Gray Sister-in-law: Margie Jones Preceded in death by: Parents: Emmette Gray & Estelle Clemmons Gray Visitation will be Tuesday, October 29, 2024, from 11:00am – 1:00pm, at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow, at 1:00pm, in the funeral home chapel, with Bro. Tim Grigsby officiating. Burial will be at Lone Cedar Cemetery.
