Obituary of Tonya Holden
Tonya Holden, 48, of Killen, AL, won her battle on March 21st. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, March 31st, 2019 at Gray’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 1-3:00 P.M. and the service will follow at 3:00 P.M. with Br. Chris Towe and Pastor Mike Nabors officiating.
Tonya’s strong will to live, unwavering faith in God, and the love and prayers of family, friends, and many supporters carried her through her journey with cancer. She loved serving the Lord and spending time with her friends and family, especially the children. She also loved going to the beach. She was the owner of the Mom & Pop Shop in Killen, Secretary of Gray’s Chapel FWB Church, and Assistant/Event Coordinator for Remax Infinity in Killen but her favorite job was caring for her children.
Tonya is survived by her husband of 27 years, Rodney Holden; children Hannah Holden (Reno Sims) and Eli Holden; parents Doyce and Glenda Michael; sister Regina Kimbrough (Kim); nieces Brittany McGee (Jayme) and Rachel Welborn (Austin); nephew Easton Holden; great-nephews Sawyer and Sloan McGee; and in-laws Don and Judy Holden and Clay and Melissa Holden.
The family would like to especially thank Dr. Shah and Dr. Khalaf and staff for their compassion and commitment and also Kindred At Home for their care during her last days.
