Arvel O'Neal Jones, Age: 75 of Killen, Al.,passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at ECM Hospital of an extended illness.
He was a native of Lauderdale County, Alabama, was a retired Mechanic for Champion Papers. He served in the U.S. Army and was of the Church of Christ faith.
Survivors are:
Wife: Marjorie Oliver Jones
Sons: Mike Jones, Rex Jones & Anthony Jones
Daughter: Dana May & husband, Dale May
Brothers:
Villard Jones & wife, Gladys
Elvis Jones & wife, Mabith
Sister: Jean Harrison & husband, Bob
Brother-In-Law: Don Oliver & wife Joan
Grandchildren: Nick Jones & wife Chelsey, Tanner Jones, Cody May & Granddaughter: Morgan May
He was preceded in death by his parents: Eli Jones & Oma Thompson Jones and his Sister: Eunice Smith.
Visitation will be Friday, July 30, 2010 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 P.M at Greenhill Funeral Home, Funeral service will follow at 1:00 P.M. with Bro. Tim Grigsby officiating. Burial will follow at Antioch Cemetery, Killen, AL.
Pallbearers will be: Reggie Shook, Nick Jones, Tanner Jones, Brad Buchanon, Tim Harrison & Dallas Balch.
The family would like to thank the 5th floor nurses at ECM for all their hard work & support. A special thanks to Dr. Holden, Stacy Barnett & North Alabama Cancer Clinic. Special friends Pat & Delores Patterson, Mildred Harrison & Debbie Parker.
