Obituary of Terry Joe Purser

Terry Joe Purser, 60, son the Martha Louise Purser and the late Charles Richard Purser, passed from this life on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 from a sudden illness. He was preceded in death by brother Tommy D. Purser and sister Donna Purser Dobbs.
He is survived by: four brothers, Larry, Tracy, Greg and Jeff Purser(Lena); sisters Shelia Stricklin (Jackie), Angela Urban (Keith), Norma Wright (Dennis), Karen Baskins (Howard), Janice Dodd (Dennis), Connie Hickerson (Kenny), and Beverly Purser; three sons, Terry Lynn, Timothy Rex, and Darwin Dewayne; and one daughter Wendy Dawn Shackelford (Adam); ten grandchildren and a very special companion Mattie Moore along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and relatives.
Terry was a lover of nature and all it had to offer. He loved hunting, fishing and hunting ginseng, among many other root plants. He loved everybody and he will be greatly missed.
The family would like to thank all the ambulance and medical personal who took care of him. All your efforts are appreciated more than you'll ever know.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 23 from 10:00-12:00 at Mt. Zion Church of Christ in St. Florian, AL. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 P.M. at the church with Bro. Robert Huffaker officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
