Desmonta Virginia Holtman, 97, of Florence, AL, passed away January 12, 2017. Mrs. Holtman was a native of Indiana and was Town Clerk / Treasurer for Fortville, IN for 15 years. She was a 40 year resident of Palmetto, FL.
Mrs. Holtman is survived by grandson Daniel E. McMahan & wife Becky of Killen, AL and (3) great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband Elmer Holtman; parents Beachem S. & Jennie H. Campbell; son Victor D. McMahan; sister Eleanor Ridge; and niece Melodie Rohr.
There will be a graveside service held for Mrs. Holtman Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at Gravel Lawn Cemetery in Fortville, IN. It will be officiated by her grandson.
The family sends special thanks to caregiver Faye Clayton, the Glenwood Healthcare staff, and Dr. Davis for their great care of Mrs. Holtman. They would also like to thank Social Worker Jennifer Blanchard, Lenita Riedel at Alabama Veterans Affairs, and Holy Cross Manor in Palmetto, FL.
