Obituary of Edna Gautney

Heaven gained an angel when Mrs. Mary Edna Miller Gautney, 84, passed away on Dec. 6, at ECM Hospital, and she was welcomed in Heaven with open arms by her two grandchildren and great grandchild. She was a member of Atlas Church of Christ and a homemaker. Survivors include: Sons: Jeff Gautney(Diane) - Killen, AL Edward Gautney(Rhonda) - Killen, AL Daughters: Joanne Butler(Freddie) - Killen, AL Susan Marks(Phillip) - Florence, AL Teresa Sykes(Billy) - Killen, AL Brothers: Lawson Miller, Jr. - Killen, AL Kenneth Miller(Carolyn) - Killen, AL Sisters: Frances Nelson - Florence, AL Ann Skipper - Florida Marie Hooks - Florence Special Friend: Alton Haraway Preceded in death by: Parents: Lawson Miller, Sr. & Ada Peden Miller Husband: William "Jabo" Gautney Son: William Gautney, Jr. Brothers: Sam Miller & Frank Miller Grandchildren: Scotty Gautney & Jeremy Armstrong Great Grandchild: Robert Michael Reeves Visitation for Mrs. Gautney will be Wednesday, Dec. 7, from 5:00-8:00pm at Atlas Church of Christ. The funeral will be Thursday, Dec. 8, at 2:00pm at Atlas Church of Christ with Miles Stutts & Steve Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in Hale Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family requests in lieu of flower, donations be made to the Atlas Church of Christ Building Fund. Greenhill Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
