Please share a memory of Jesse to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Jesse Wilford Parker, 72, (11-4-44/11-4-16) passed from death unto life eternal, to be with his father, Jesse, his brother, Royce, and his sister Roberta, who predeceased him.
Visitation will be Nov. 6, 2016, from 6:00-8:00pm at Greenhill Funeral Home. He will lie in state Nov. 7, 2016, at Greenhill First Baptist Church from 12:00-1:00; the funeral service will follow at 1:00pm, with Bro. Gregg Woodard officiating. Interment will be in Greenhill Cemetery.
To Wilford, the greatest joy of all will be to see his JESUS whom he loved with all his heart, mind, and soul. Since his early youth, a series of physical disabilities, including epilepsy and cerebral palsy have robbed him of clear speech and mobility, forcing the use of a wheelchair throughout his adult life. We can only imagine his excitement in being able to converse clearly with his Lord, family and friends, and having the ability to once again stand on his feet and stroll down Heaven's Avenue without any assistance.
Wilford leaves behind a sainted mother, Flora Parker, wo has cared for him and provided his every need in a totally unselfish and highly commendable manner. Survivors also include brother in law, Leon Peden; aunts, Verdie Mae Kennedy, Christine Riley, Diane Rich (Harold); uncles, Jimmy Parker (Katherine), Tim Parker (Lori), Billy Ray Parker, and J. T. Green, plus a host of cousins and friends. The family expresses profound thanks to Harold Danley (cousin), who has gone far beyond normal expectations to aid and assist Wilford and Flora. Also, thanks to Linda Roberson for all her timeless hours, day and night, that she spent with Wilford and Flora, and special thanks to Bro. Gregg Woodard, Don and Dee Wade, Jimmy Clemmons, Charlie and Allene Wilson, Pam Ellis and Angela Turley, Dr. Danny Martin and staff, Hospice of the Shoals, Dr. Webb, case manager Jan Shepherd, nurses Vikki Stout and Deborah McCoy, caregivers Michelle Cooper and Debbie Collum, Shell Dabbs from Oxford Home Health, Katie Barnett from NACOLG, and Beth from Colbert County Health Dept., and the doctors, nurses, and staff of ECM Hospital.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Clemmons, Dale Kennedy, Ernie Clemmons, Randy Parker, Don Green, Doug Koonce, Don Wade, and Ricky Parker.
