Laymond Nelson Stamps, 79, of Florence, passed away June 12, 2011 at his residence after a brief illness. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He was a retired salesman for Pepsi Cola/Buffalo Rock after a 43 year career.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 14, from 5:00-8:00pm at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Tuck Rhodes and Ronald Hayes officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Tabor Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be grandsons: Joel Stamps, Jayme Stamps, Gary Lanier, Daniel Lanier, Ben Barnett, Nick Moore, Shawn Stamps, and Jessie Glass.
Honorary pallbearers will be remaining grandsons and great grandsons.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Society (1-800-227-2345) or at ALZ.org for Alzheimer's research.
