Mary Eleanor Watts Cook, 99, of Loretto, passed away April 14, 2009, at ECM Hospital in Florence. She was a member of United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, and Home Demonstration Club.
Survivors include: Sons: Watson Dale Cook, Jr., and wife Jerry - Cameron, S.C. John Phillip (Jack) Cook, and wife Susie - Chattanooga Daughters: Gene Layfield and husband T.J. - Fort White, FL Susan Walters and husband Allen - Loretto Brother: Joseph Anderson Watts - Canton, MS Sister-in-Law: Mary Mimms Watts - Madison, TN (l3) Grandchildren (23) Great Grandchildren ( 6) Great Great Grandchildren
Preceded in death by: Husband: Watson Dale Cook Parents: Henry Oscar and Mamie Watts Brother: Henry Oscar Watts, Jr. Sister: Alice Rogers Watts Barrett
Visitation will be Wednesday, 5:00-8:00pm at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Thursday at 2:00pm at Loretto United Methodist Church with Bro. Don Spencer and Bro. Roy Bryant officiating. The body will lie in state from 1:00-2:00pm. at the church. Burial will be in Loretto Memorial Gardens.
Donations may be made to Gideon's International.
