Jimmie Harrison Springer, 80, of Florence, passed away November 14, 2015, at ECM Hospital in Florence. He was a retired supervisor from Inland Steel, and a U.S. Army Veteran. He was a member of Mary's Chapel Church of the Nazarene. Visitation will be Sunday, Nov. 15, from 12:00-2:00pm at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00pm in the funeral home chapel with Marcus Wilson and Randy French officiating. Burial will follow in Richardson Chapel Cemetery with Military Honors. Survivors include: Son: David Jeffery Springer Brother: Robert Lee Springer - Florence Sisters: Frances Killen - Florence Agnes Kubiszak - Chattanooga Eleanor Hill - Hampton, TN Gracie Wilson - Lexington Linda Lovelace - Florence Wanda Sue Holden - Lexington (2) Grandchildren Preceded in death by: Wife: Kathie Springer Parents: Sharp and Mable Springer Brothers: Charles F. Springer Harold Wayne Springer Pallbearers will be Tony Springer, Greg Springer, Ralph Killen, Ronnie Young, Dennis Holden, and Jeff Creekmore. Honorary pallbearers will be Brad Holden, Mike Hill, Carlton Springer, and Johnnie Davis. Greenhill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
