Johnny E. Hughes, 69, of St. Joseph, passed away February 19, 2015 at ECM Hospital in Florence.
He was a member of Burns Chapel Church, a shop supervisor for Bigbee Steel, and a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.
Survivors include:
Wife: Kathy Prince Hughes
Son: Mark Hughes - St. Joseph
Brothers: Jimmy Hughes - Killen, AL
Herbert Hughes - Hollywood, AL
Sisters: Judy Craig and husband Clyne - Walkersville, W.VA
Linda Michael and husband Keith - Center Hill
Step Sisters: Ann Hill
Sheila Hammond
Preceded in death by:
Father: Euell Hughes
Step Mother: Flora Margret Hughes
Grandparents: Ed and Weiter Hughes
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 24 from 11:00-1:00 p.m. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1:00p.m. at the funeral home with Bro. Edward Burbank officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery with full Military Honors.
Pallbearers will be Danny Roberson, Don Hale, Larry Rich, Bruce Roberson, Kenneth Thompson, and James Putman.
Greenhill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
