Obituary of Paris "Billy" Rogers

Paris Arnold (Billy) Rogers, 91, of Killen, AL, passed away August 27, 2014 at his home of an extended illness. Mr. Rogers was a retired electrician and farmer and a member of I.B.E.W. 558 since November 1945. He was also a Methodist and a United States Army Veteran of World War II.
Mr. Rogers is survived by his wife Doris Spears Rogers; sons Tim Rogers of Athens and Rickey Rogers of Killen; daughter Brenda Phillips (Jim) of Killen; and brothers John Rogers of Huntsville and Robert Rogers (Dell) of Killen.
Mr. Rogers was preceded in death by his parents Ira Norman and Clara Mae Hill Rogers; son Gerald Rogers; brothers Charles and Tom Rogers; sisters Josephine Gray and Marilyn Raney.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 30, 2014, from 11-1:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 P.M. with Bro. Mark Woodruff officiating. Burial will be in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to thank Hospice of North Alabama, especially nurses Melinda Sherrill, Sandy Pitts, and nurse's aide Koko. They would also like to thank Dr. Hobbs and staff.
