Obituary of Dennis Burbank

Dennis Edward Burbank, (AKA "Bur Head"), 65, left this walk of life to be with Jesus on August 29, 2013, at his home. He was born on May 5, 1948 to W.R and Irene Burbank. Bur Head was a hardworking man and retired from Nichols Wire after 34 years of service. He was a very loving and understanding Husband, Father, Papaw, Brother, and friend to lots of people. He was a Christian and a member of Branding Iron Cowboy Church. Visitation will be Saturday, August 31 from 11:00-2:00pm at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00pm at the funeral home with burial in Hickory Flatt Cemetery, Lexington, AL. Chris Simmons and Nolan Clemmons will be officiating. He was preceded in death by his parents, W. R. Burbank and Irene Burbank White; step-father, Earl White; brothers, William Ray and H. L. Burbank; and grandson, Dustin Burbank. He is survived by wife, Brenda Burbank, sons, Edward Burbank (Denise), Keith Burbank, Wallace Davis, and Zechariah Campbell; daughters, Katina Waller (Donnie), Heather Campbell, Misty Campbell, and Chrystal Kellogg (Chris). Grandchildren: Justin Burbank, Cody Burbank, Nick Waller, Jared Waller, Dillon Campbell, Allison Evans and Macy Evans. Greatgrandchild,Lane Burbank. Sue Burbank, mother of his three children, Keith, Edward, and Katina. Brother, Leo Burbank. Sisters, Lerlie Weems, Virginia Clemmons, Sue Cox and Shirley Burbank. Pallbearers will be grandsons and friends, Justin Burbank, Cody Burbank, Nick Waller, Dillon Campbell, Daniel Miller, and Wallace Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be Jared Waller, Lane Burbank, Troy McGee, Sammy Mason and Bo Howard. Bur Head loved to wagon ride and horse ride. Everyone who met him loved him and he loved them. The family would like to thank Dr. Ashley and staff, Dr. Holden, Dr. Clarke, NW Cancer Center, and Gentiva Hospice. Greenhill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
