Obituary of Thomas Nabers

Mr. Thomas A. Nabers, 80, of Muscle Shoals, passed away Sunday, February 27th at Helen Keller Hospital after a brief illness.
Visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 P.M. Monday, February 28 at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 6:00 P.M.
Mr. Nabers retired from TVA after 22 years of service. He was a member of The First United Methodist Church of Tuscumbia. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He retired from the U.S. Army after 34 years of service.
Thomas was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Annie Catherine Nabers; a son Thomas Anthony Nabers; his parents Millard Troy and Thelma Malone Nabers; and brothers Hank, Tracy, and Authur Nabers.
He is survived by daughter Kay Dunlap of Tuscumbia, AL; sons Thomas F. Nabers of Lawrenceburg, Tn; Charles A. Nabers, Sr. (Debbie) of Greenhill; and Randy Nabers of Lawrenceburg, Tn; grandchildren Chuck Nabers (Amanda), Christie Hambright (Dustin), Corbin Nabers, Kayla Marie Dunlap (Damon Underwood), and Mary Nabers; great grandchildren Gatlin Hambright, Taylor Hambright, and Nathan Sharp; sister-in-laws Irene McCostlin and Eddie Mae Nabers; brother-in-law B.L. Outlaw (Ernestine); and nieces and nephews.
Burial with be in Kirkville Cemetery, Kirkville, MS with military honors. Waters Funeral Home in Baldwyn, MS is in charge of burial arrangements.
The family would like to thank Dr. Jack Mclendon for the years of care and service. They would also like to give a special thanks to Cheryl McClorkle, Cindy Allison, Gale Bridges and the staff of Morning Side Assisted Living for the last seven years of care and devotion.
