I remember when Jimmy joined our fire department (NCVFD) and he and I were in the 160 class together. He was getting that certification so he could become a state fire Marshall. That was over 20 years ago. We had a lot of good times in that class. He will be missed.

Q: How did you meet Jimmy? A: I worked with Jimmy for 14 years at the Alabama State Fire Marshal's office. When he came to the office, he would bring his drink and come and sit in my office for hours just talking about life and his family. He was always interested and wanted to know what was happening in my life too. I will miss all those times. He was the greatest man I have ever known. He was a true friend and full of knowledge I will miss him so much.
