Obituary of Lisa Harris Grossheim

Please share a memory of Lisa to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Lisa Harris Grossheim (61) entered her eternal home on October 20, 2024 after a courageous fight with cancer. She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Jeff; daughters Caraline Harper (Joe) and Caitlan Frank (Scott); sisters Myra Lovell (Jay) and Carol Gossett (Stan); and her cherished grandchildren, Graham, Reece, and Emory. Lisa was born on July 21, 1963 in Florence, AL to Elmer and Lela Mae Harris. They preceded her in death. Lisa was a devoted member of Atlas Church of Christ, where she grew up. She inspired many as a Ladies Bible Class teacher and a vibrant speaker at community Ladies Day events. She was a proud graduate of Mars Hill Bible School (1981). She loved Mars Hill Bible School. There she spent 33 years inspiring all by teaching, coaching, and serving as an administrator. Affectionately known as “Buddie” to her nieces and nephews—Kayla Lingerfelt, Daniel Gossett, Jacob Lovell, Cody, Dylan, and Justin Slaton, Luke and Brandon Krieger, and “G-Buddie” to her great-nephews. She loved fiercely and brought joy to her family, especially relishing her role as “Giggy” to her beloved grandchildren. Join us for a celebration of her life on October 26, 2024, at 2 PM at Atlas Church of Christ, with a visitation time to follow. A meal will be served at 5 PM. Her family will miss her deeply but find comfort in knowing she lived a beautiful life as a servant of God and is now safe in His arms. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, American Diabetes Association, or to Mars Hill Bible School (specific to tuition assistance for families).
