Born on September 7, 1959, Donald Ray Jones, "PawPaw", went to sleep at the age of 64 and woke up in Heaven on Sunday January 21, 2024. A Brooks High School graduate and 40-year resident of Greenhill, he worked as a truck driver and heavy equipment operator and was a member of Lone Cedar Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years Mari Lou Thorne; daughter Lauren Compton (Alan); son Hunter Jones (Kristin); grandchildren Victoria, Grace Ann, Sam and Della Compton; Adam and Avery Jones; mother Martha Ruth Draper; brother Ritchie Jones (Jennifer); sister Jennifer Smelser (Rickey).
He was preceded in death by his father, Felton Ray Jones.
Arrangements will be Friday, January 26th at Lone Cedar Church of Christ with visitation from 11 am-1 pm, service following at 1 pm with Bro. Tim Grigsby officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetary. Pallbearers are Mark Jones, Danny Jones, Steve Jones, Bradley Jones, Michael Moreland, Kevin Moreland, and Joe Keenum. Honorary Pallbearers are Robbie Jones, Carl Keenum, Benny Beavers, Steve Allen, and Mike Thorn.
