Obituary of Jessie Lee Olive

Jessie Lee Olive, 79, of Lexington, went home to be with his Lord on November 23, 2023, at his residence. He was a service technician in the heating and air conditioning business and did appliance repair. Jessie was of the Baptist faith and a United States Navy veteran, having served in Vietnam. When asked how he was doing, Jessie always replied “Better than I deserve! I deserve death and damnation, but through Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior, I have eternal life”. Survivors include: Wife: Nancy Martin Olive Son: James Johnson Daughters: Donna Mazur, Debbie Reynolds (Glenn), Denise Wright, Patricia Johnson & Carrie Whitehorn (Terry) Brother: Robert Olive (Jeri) Sister: Brenda Holden (Terry) (18) Grandchildren, (12) great grandchildren Sisters-in-law: Tena Olive & Bonnie Olive Preceded in death by: Parents: Herschel Edward Olive & Corene Butler Olive Brothers: Herschel Junior Olive (Betty), Richard Olive & Danny Olive Sisters: Frances Stutts (Jack), Glenda Olive & Shirley Olive Visitation will be on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2023, from 10:00am – 12:00pm, at Liberty Grove Baptist Church. A Memorial service will follow at 12:00pm, at Liberty Grove Baptist Church with Brock Kilburn and Chris Towe officiating. Full military honors will follow service. The family would like to say a special “thank you” to: Stephanie Cook with Enhabit Hospice and granddaughter, Bridget Scarlatelli, for the loving care for her Poppa. Roll Tide !!
