Obituary of James Aaron Southern

James Aaron "Jimmy" "Jimbo" Southern, 40, of Moss Bluff, LA, died Sunday, September 24, 2023. He was born March 28, 1983, in Alexandria, Virginia, to Tinya Leigh Rose and Terry Southern. Jimmy is survived by his wife, Katie Southern of Moss Bluff; son, Asher Southern; daughter, Zaylee Southern, both of Liberty; daughters, Autumn Southern and Aubrey Southern, both of Huntsville, Alabama; brother, Jeremy Southern and his wife, Mandy, of Archdale, North Carolina; sister, Amanda Southern of Tennessee; brothers, Josh Peri and his wife, Kadie, of Liberty; Nathan Stophel and his wife, Tiffany, of Fayetteville, North Carolina; sister, Amanda Chastain and her husband, Michael, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; brother, Chris Baker and his wife, Rinkal, of Port Arthur; sisters, Nina Mahaffey of Norman, Oklahoma; Breanna Peri of Saginaw; father, Terry Southern of Los Angeles, California; In-law, Donald and Renea Harris of Purcell, Oklahoma; grandparents, Leon Hamlin of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; sisters-in-law, Corie Bates and Kelly Harris, both of Purcell, Oklahoma; and many other friends and family members. He is preceded in death by his mother, Tinya Rose; grandparents, Harry and Marry Southern; and grandmother, Kris Hamlin. There will be a Memorial Service held at Antioch Church of Christ on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. with Dennis Jones officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery.
