Gary Lynn “Doc” Payne, 68, of Killen, AL, passed away September 25, 2023 at his home. Doc was from Abernathy, TX and was a retired Flooring and Carpet Installer.
Doc is survived by:
Wife: Sarah Frances Kimbrough
Daughter: Kami Elizabeth Payne (Daniel Sustar) of Austin, TX
Step-Daughters: Jodi Kramer (Andrew) and Heather Kimbrough
Brother: Larry Payne of Jefferson, TX
Sister: Peggie Payne Schaap of Amarillo, TX and Karen Davis (Abernathy, TX)
He was preceded in death by:
Parents: Ervin Wayne Payne and Pearl Lansdon Payne
Sister: Sharon Chesky
There will be a Celebration of Doc’s Life on Sunday, October 1st, 2023 at 4:00 P.M. at the Old Train Bridge in Sheffield, AL.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Zierer, Michael Carter, Paul Carter, Andrew Kramer, Tim Zierer, and Tim Bretherick.
Honorary pallbearers will be Frank Zierer and Frankie Bass.
