Ruby Marcella Robertson Hamner, 89, of Killen, AL, passed away at her home on August 30, 2023. Ruby was retired from J. C. Penney, where she went to work after raising her children. Ruby was born in Lauderdale County, AL and was a member of North Carolina Church of Christ.
Ruby is survived by:
Husband: Troy Harrison Hamner
Sons: Phillip Hamner (Kathy Lea Bilyeu Hamner) & Scott Hamner (Allison Paige Hamner)
Daughter: Amanda Melissa Hamner (Jay Smith)
Sister: Alma Butler
Grandchildren: Lacey Lea Hamner Walker (Blake Walker), Logan Anne Hamner Harmon (Aaron Harmon),
Clinton Powell Hamner (Samantha Hamner), Maggie Rae Posey (Jay), Benjamin Scott Hamner (Serria), Robert Evan Hamner, Kelly Camille Hamner Whitlock & Abigale Grace Hamner Chrismer (Kip)
Great-grandchildren: Mykaela A. Walker, Cameron B. Walker, Pascal B. Harmon, Troy R. Hamner, Wheeler James Posey, Wales Jenson Posey, Wallen Jack Posey, Blake Whitlock & Sloan Whitlock
She was preceded in death by:
Parents: Joe Wheeler Robertson and Reba Lee Cabler Robertson
Son: Robert Joel Hamner
Sisters: Lucille Stutts, Josephine Canerday, and Opal Medley
The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
