Joe Arnold Gabel, 81, of Iron City, TN, passed away May 17, 2021 at NHC Healthcare in Lawrenceburg. Joe was a retired stocker for MGH Wholesale and a member of Mt. Nebo Presbyterian Church. Joe is survived by: Brothers: Kenneth Gabel and Mac Gabel (Villa) Nieces: Blanche Adams, Janie Wilburn, and Jean Barton Nephews: Kenneth Gabel, Jr., George Gabel, David Gabel, John Wesley Gabel, and Jacob Gabel Special Cousin: Marilyn (Lynn) Spencer Special Family: Dorothy Springer (Roy), Ray James Springer (Jana), Melissa Lumpkins (Michael), Jessie Gibbs, Cody Tongette, Samantha Springer, Breanna Lumpkins, Madison Smith, and Macaleb Smith He was preceded in death by: Parents: Joe Wheeler Gabel and Clara Gabel Best Friend: Buster Hughes Visitation will be Thursday, May 20, 2021 from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Mt. Nebo Cumberland Presbyterian Church. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 P.M. graveside at Mt. Nebo Cemetery with Sean Richardson officiating. Pallbearers will be Roy James Springer, Cody Tongette, Macaleb Smith, George Simbeck, Bill Gabel, and Tom E. Gabel. Greenhill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
