I remember Mr. Burks calmed me down. When I get emotional when I was in school. He did a great job being the Bass drum director when I was on the drumline. I miss it when he says digga digga digga digga do. I hope his family is doing well.

Jamie and I worked together at WGU. I enjoyed his spirit and his zest for life. I never had a conversation with Jamie that I didn't walk away with a smile on my face and laughing. Several times we discussed our love for ranching and cattle. I immediately could tell that Jamie loved the Lord and I know he is with his Lord and Savior.
My prayers are with his family and parents.

Ragan, children, Kay and Joe, My heart breaks for all of you losing Jamie so early in life. He was always funny and so full of life. I'm terribly sorry for the loss of Mr Burks. I didn't know him personally, but my kids had Mrs Burks for PE at BES and talked about how much they loved her, and they are sorry for her as well.

He was truly an awesome man. You knew he was a Christian man by the way he sincerely cared for others, would do anything to help anyone, by the love you could see for others in his smile and on his face. He was always so good with the kids at school and touched the hearts of all of them. He was so loved by them all. I am truly blessed to have met him when I transferred my kids to Rogers. He was always a pleasure to talk with and such an encourager to the students and the parents because he truly cared.
He will be missed and remembered in such an honorable way.
It breaks my heart that the family has to endure this great loss. Prayers for God to comfort you all as only He can. Your sweet loved one is safe in his arms now resting. And his love lives on in all of you and so many others. He will always be with you.

Mr. Burks was a wonderful Principal and a great man. I remember Mr. Burks telling my son he needs to straighten up. My son said yes sir. I am sorry to hear about his loss at this time.
