Obituary of Robert Karl Augustin, Sr.

Robert Karl “Bob” Augustin, Sr., 87 of Loretto, TN, passed away February 22, 2021 at his home. Bob was retired from Loretto Casket Company and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Loretto. He was also a United States Army Veteran where he served in occupied Germany in the early 1950’s. Bob was a member of The American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Army Occupation Medal (Germany), and the Good Conduct Medal for his service. Bob is survived by: Sons: Robert K. Augustin, Jr. (Cheryl), Anthony J. Augustin (Terrye), Douglas O. Augustin (David) Sister: Ruth G. Augustin (6) Grandchildren and (12) Great-grandchildren And faithful companion “Lady” He was preceded in death by: Wife: Jean Barnett Augustin Parents: Ernest John Augustin and Clara Mary Fredebeil Augustin Brother: William H. “Sonny” Augustin Sister: Dolores E. Augustin There will be a private, family only Visitation and Funeral Mass held for Bob at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Paul Ngugen and Father Joseph Mundakal officiating. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery with full Military Honors. Pallbearers will be Nicholas Augustin, Robert K. Augustin III, Patrick Augustin, Trevor Hamby, Danny Niedergeses, and Mike Wasuck. The family will hold a public memorial service in memory of Bob in the future for all his friends to attend and share their remembrances of him. Greenhill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
