Ken became my dear friend when I started working at the casket company for Hardy and Gladys when I was 19...we shared birthday months just days apart and for 30 years never failed to call or send me a card. Haven’t got to see him as much last few years but always hold him in my heart as a very dear friend. God Speed dear friend. Pattie Bryan

In the few years I have lived in Greenhill I must say meeting and becoming friends with Ken was a privilege We instantly became friends (maybe because we had lots in common we both had been in Funeral business and enjoyed reading ) we would speak on the phone weekly at least a couple times and when he could we would see each other in church and he would order those Vidalia onions sent to me once a year. Just this past week we spoke a couple times and he was so glad his treatment was over and he was bragging on how good he felt and talked about us going for breakfast soon. His death is a loss to his family, friends, his church family, this community and to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. I must say I am a better person for knowing this great man and I am sure he is in Heaven at this time with a John Gresham novel relaxing . Its so hard to say good by to a friend such as Ken .

I have many fond memories of Ken and most of those were during his days at Loretto Casket Company. Ken was an A Number 1 person - thoughtful, helpful, and appreciative. Ken would invite those in the funeral profession to an annual picnic at the casket company. Grover Brown and I would get together and travel over three hours each way to get the 'free lunch' and see the new casket models; but it was visiting with Ken that kept us doing this year after year. Ken was a true professional. Although I have not seen him in many years, I vividly remember how nice Ken was to us all those times.
