Betty Ruth Swinea Stamps, 81, of Iron City, TN, passed away peacefully at home December 17, 2019 after an extended illness. She was a born again Christian, devoted wife, mother, Mamaw, Great Mamaw, and sister.
She was preceded in death by:

Son: Carlon Stamps
Grandson: Jeremy Atkins
Parents: Wiley and Letha Swinea
Brothers: Edward, Carrol, Arthur, Charlie, Robert Louis, Thomas, Benton, and Clinton Swinea
Sisters: Connie Peden, Wylene Belew, and Hazel Dodson
Betty is survived by:
Sons: Gaylon and Darryl Stamps of Iron City, TN
Daughters: Jennifer Atkins (Larry) of Falkville, AL & Kimberly Wallace (Garry) of Killen, AL
Grandchildren: Christopher and Joel Atkins (Madelyn) of Marietta, GA; Dewayne Stamps (Savonnah), Andrew Stamps (Andrea), and Cody Stamps of Texas; Lucas Stamps (Maddy) of Iron City, TN; Anissa Moore (J.T.) of Killen, AL; Gabbreell Langford of Waynesboro, TN; Rachel Rohler (Brenton) of Florence, AL; and Taylor Wallace of Florence, AL

Visitation will be Saturday, December 21, 2019 from 5-8:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Sunday at 2:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Stacey Holt & Bro. Jeff Tingle officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery in Lexington, AL. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Honorary pallbearer will be J.T. Moore.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Misty, Allison, Rhonda, and the Chaplains with Volunteer Hospice and with her caregivers Shelly and Lieshia.
