Lona Mae Smith, 87, of Florence, AL, passed away January 15, at Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home. She was a housewife and a Baptist.

 

Survivors include:

Son:   Dan Smith (Evelyn)

Daughters:  Elizabeth Jaynes(Robert) & Teresa Hand(Jimmy)

(11) Grandchildren, (15) Great-grandchildren, (7) Great-Great Grandchildren 

(2) Step Grandchildren, (3) Step Great-grandchildren

 

Preceded in death by:

Parents:  William Henry & Mary Elizabeth Haddock Rhodes

Husband:  Al J. Smith

Son:   Jerry Smith

Brothers:  William H. Rhodes & Harildo Rhodes

Sister:    Gertrude Hubbert

(3) Grandchildren

 

Visitation will be Wednesday, Jan. 16, from 5:00-8:00pm at Greenhill Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be on Thursday, Jan. 17, at 11:00am in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Malcolm Scott and Bro. George Dison officiating.  Burial will follow in Mt. Tabor Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers will be:  Wesley Stevenson, Daniel Stevenson, James Stricklin, Chris Stricklin, Dakota Hand & Riley Hand.

 

Honorary Pallbearers will be:  Randy Stricklin & Jimmy Hand.
