Jimmy Delton Davis, 84, of Florence, AL, passed away October 30, 2018. Mr. Davis was a retired Civil Engineer for the Alabama State Highway Department. He was a Deacon and also the Secretary/Treasurer for Peppertown Baptist Church. He was a real sports enthusiast and as a true Atlanta Braves and Alabama Crimson Tide Fan, he enjoyed teaching his nieces and nephews the love of the games.

 

                Mr. Davis is survived by:

                                Wife: Mary Elizabeth “Sissy” Johnston Davis

                                Brother: Horace Davis

                               

 

                He was preceded in death by:

                                Parents: Daniel Bufford Davis and Bertha Jones Davis

                                Brother: D.B. Davis

                                Sisters: Evilyn Clemmons and Margurette Davis

 

                Visitation will be Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 10-11:00 A.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 A.M. with Bro. Jerry Coker and Bro. W.L. Wallace officiating. Burial will be in Richardson Chapel Cemetery. His nephews will serve as pallbearers.

 

                Greenhill Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
