Obituary of Marvin Forsythe
Marvin Turner Forsythe, 85, of Lexington, AL, passed away October 28, 2018. Mr. Forsythe was a farmer and retired Civil Engineer for the Alabama State Highway Department and a long standing member of the Center Hill Church of Christ.
Mr. Forsythe is survived by:
Wife: Joanne Tidwell Forsythe
Son: Phillip Alan Forsythe of Florence, AL
Daughter: Sherea Burns of Florence
Sisters: Opal English and Jewell Coker, both of Lexington
Grandchildren: Michelle Jones, Jason Burns, Molly Partlow, and Emily Burns
Great-grandchildren: R.J. Jones, Maryanne Partlow, Neil Partlow, Phillip Jones, and Margaret Partlow
He was preceded in death by:
Parents: James William Forsythe and Willie Levil Allen Forsythe
Sister: Lillion Forsythe
Visitation will be at Tuesday, October 30, 2018 from 5-8:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. at Center Hill Church of Christ with Bro. Tim Grigsby officiating. Burial will be in Center Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jason Burns, Greg Coker, Rob Jones, Ryan Orrick, Kevin Partlow, and Donnie Springer. Honorary pallbearers will be Jordan Ashe, Keith Holden, Neal Thornton, and Ron Williams.
The family requests that Memorial Donations may be made to either the 1) Center Hill Cemetery Fund c/o Jerry Fox or to 2) ALS Association, 300 Cahaba Park Circle Suite 209, Birmingham, AL 35242
