Obituary of Allen Gooch

Allen Bennett Gooch passed away on August 3, 2018 at age 76 after an extended illness. Visitation will be held Sunday, August 5, 5:00 - 8:00 PM and funeral service on Monday, August 6, at 11 am, all at Greenhill Funeral Home. Burial will be at Shiloh Cemetery, Greenhill. Services will be conducted by Dan McMahan, Matt Miller and Bryan Mitchell. Allen was a Christian and a beloved member of Midway Church of Christ for many years.

 

Mr. Gooch was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie & Hazel (VanPelt) Gooch, and his brother Randall Gooch.

 

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sue Beavers Gooch; two daughters, Cheryl Behel (Dennon) and Jennifer Lard (Jason); six grandchildren, Mellary, Bennett & Brody Behel and James, Jake & Jada Lard; his favorite sister-in-law, Brenda Gooch; and very much loved nieces & nephews--Tammy, Steve, Bradley, Wynn, Kimberly, Susan, Randy, Lillie and Thomas.

 

Grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers along with Charles Shoemaker, Randy Meyer and Carroll Konig.

 

Special thanks to Dr I. Lyman Mitchell, Dr William Heaton and Pam Hill, CRNP for their many years of care and dedication.
