Obituary of Elvin Elzo Clanton

Elvin Elzo Clanton, 86, of Florence, AL, passed away July 7, 2018 at Helen Keller Hospital. Mr. Clanton was a retired Electrician, a member of IBEW #558, a member of the Masonic Lodge, and a member of the Free Will Baptist Church.

                                                Timothy Clanton (Shelia) of Florence

                                                Randall Clanton of Florence

                                Daughters:         Deborah Methvin (Stan) of Leoma, TN

                                                                Brenda Whitten (Kenneth) of Florence

                                                                Marilyn Lane (Mike) of Florence

                                                                Tammie Clanton of Florence

                                (22) Grandchildren, (26) Great-grandchildren, & (3) Great- greatgrandchildren

                He was preceded in death by:

                                Parents: Johnny Calvin Clanton and Ironia Myrick Clanton

                                Wife: Doyce Mae Lawson Clanton

                Visitation will be Saturday, July 14, 2018 from 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Elbert Ray Bennett and Rev. Jay Clanton officiating. Burial will be in Emmaline Stutts Cemetery.

                Pallbearers will be Mark Collier, Barry Lumpkins, Nathan Clanton, Chris Clanton, Rodney Whitten, Barry Whitten, Jamie Norwood, and Javin Clanton. Honorary pallbearer will be Daniel Clanton.

                The family would like to thank Helen Keller Hospital, Dr. Patel, and Dr. Thompson for all their care during this difficult time.
