John Henry Harris, 71, of Florence, AL, passed away November 24, 2011 of a brief illness. He was a native of Copenhagen, New York. He was a retired satellite communications worker, a veteran of the United States Air Force, and a Protestant.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett Charles and Leta Curtis Harris; and by his son Bradley John Harris.
The family would like to send a special thanks to grandson Robin Jay Combs for his devoted and loving care of his grandfather, and also to all the staff at Alacare Hospice.
A memorial service will be held at a later date for Mr. Harris.
