Obituary of Alton Parker

          Alton Abraham Parker was born October 7, 1930 and passed from this life on January 17, 2018.

          He is survived by his wife Barbara Smith Parker; children Ramona Peters (Ken), Anthony Parker (Maureen), Carla Stutts (Miles), Bridgette Myrick (Tony), and foster son, Derrick Munson. He was blessed with 10 grandchildren: Drew Stutts (Amanda), Wesley Peters, Ella Thomas (Cody), Ethan Peters, Abby Stutts, Jeremy Parker, Jonathan Parker, Emma Robb, Levi Myrick, and Brianna Myrick and his great-grandchildren Roman and Deacon Stutts.

                He was preceded in death by his parents, James Raymond and LouElla Parker. He was a retired carpenter with Smith Brothers Builders. He was a faithful member of North Carolina Church of Christ where he served as a deacon and treasurer for many years. He had a love for both gospel and bluegrass music, a good yard sale, breakfast at Cracker Barrel, and also loved playing word games and card games with his children and grandchildren.

                A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 20th at 12:00 P.M. Noon at the North Carolina Church of Christ. There will be a time of visitation with the family following the service.
